Cluttered space doesn't mean you have a dirty habit or an untidy person, no, but a cluttered space makes people know if you're an organized person or not.
One of the many facts about interior decor that is unknown to many is that an organized space stimulates rest, peace of mind and mental stability.
Can you imagine leaving your room with everything completely tidy but then you return to find your room in a complete mess! Oh how mad you'll be. Same goes for a cluttered space. Everything is everywhere like exposed cables and wires, piles of books and magazines, placing objects without measurements, toys, colored sheets, too much patterns and styles, too much furniture, not enough light, too much colors!
A clutter free space is a functional space. Clutters makes one feel stomped mentally. Makes you feel like you really can't breathe and it's really bad for people with breathing problems or disorders like asthmatic patients and claustrophobic people too.
Ways to get rid of clutters
1. Overstuffed shelves? Get more shelves!
Overstuffed shelves are just the worst. No matter what you do, it just looks untidy and very cluttered. This reduces functionality too. Things tends to be everywhere leaving no room for your brain to settle cause it causes visual noise. Get more shelves with simple designs, that way, you can reduce what you place on the them.
2. Cable, wire, cord disasters!
Does these drive you crazy? Cause I can be driven nuts by too many wires! If only all gadgets can be wireless but then that's just my thoughts.
Wires and cords can be everywhere that they turn out to look like cobwebs! Its just insane! But then there're tricks that makes them less of a clutter. As we all know, safety first! Wire clutters can be dangerous to you or your household.
Use tools like zip ties, cable zippers, cable clips, cable organizers etc.
3. Use boxes and woven baskets for clothe storage.
This works like magic. It stows your laundry and other clothes in a manner that reduces mess.
Glass jars and tins.
This also reduces visual noise to the minimum. This is most effective in the kitchen and bathrooms.
5. Introduce clothing shelves.
There's nothing that makes more clutters than clothing in a bedroom. In addition to boxes and woven baskets, shelves are the ultimate luxury for your bedroom. Woven baskets and boxes without shelves can also create another kind of clutter.
6. Multifunctional furnitures.
These are the best for stowing anything from eye view. These furnitures includes ottoman, coffee table, wooden boxes and just about anything that woods can make.
You can also use wooden boxes for stowing books just to avoid clutters on the bookshelf.
7. Introduce shelves for toys:
Apart from using boxes and other conventional methods of organizing toys, shelves place at the eye level of a toddler helps reduce clutter and also makes the child get used to organizing his or her stuff too.
